Problem:

When I check out a file why does it not show as a read-only file on my local machine?

When I check out a file why does it not show as a read-only file on my local machine?


Answer:

This is a known issue when using MPX cache agent. If the file is checked out from a cache agent and the ?Keep Current? status is used it does not correctly set the file as a read-only. As a workaround you can choose the ?Unlocked? status when checking it out, although please ensure you set the option ?Mark unlocked working files as read-only? in your personal options first. This issue is planned to be fixed in a future release.
