Problem:

Is it possible to pin a link to a specific revision of an item?

Resolution:

• Product Name: StarTeam
• Product Version: ALL
• Product Component: Client
• Platform/OS Version: ALL

It is possible to pin a link to a particular revision, however this must be done by editing the link.

1. Firstly, create the link, either by pinning during check-in or manually creating the link.
   
   
2. Select one of the linked artifacts and click the link tab. Right click the link and click properties.
   
   
   
   
3. A dialog box will appear, showing the source and the target, which can both be either floating or pinned. To pin either the source or the target, click the corresponding pin button.
   
   
   
   
4. Then select a version of the file from the list and Click O.K
   
   
   
   
5. If necessary, the same process can be used in order to reset the link to "Floating" at either the source or the target.
