Description:
How to resolve ‘……….connection refused: connect” error in datamart?

Answer/Solution:
This error occurs when Datamart contacted the database, but the database refused connection, and this is due to TCP/IP not being enabled. Datamart uses the TCP/IP protocol, which is NOT enabled by the default in SQL Server 2005 install. To turn on the TCP/IP protocol, run the SQL Server Configuration Manager tool (Start | Microsoft SQL Server 2005 | Configuration Tools) and enable the TCP/IP protocol. Then stop and start the SQL Server 2005 service. Please consult your DBA for further assistance.
