The Show Advanced Menus option allows you to control whether standard or advanced menu items display in the component menu selected from the Cross-Platform Client Main Menu. Choose Tools | Show Advanced Menus from the Main Menu to turn the feature on or off. 

Show Advanced Menus is turned on by default and a check box displays when the option is turned on. When Show Advanced Menus is not on, you see a standard menu with the advanced items hidden.

Note: You must have a StarTeam Project open before enabling or disabling this option.

Hidden Options:
- New, Properties, Access Rights, Delete, Connection Properties
 

Hidden Options:
- New, Delete, Access Rights, Label, Promotion
 

Hidden Options:
- Copy URL to Clipboard. Paste, Labels, Advanced (Behaviour, References, Access Rights & View/Compare Merge)
 

Hidden Options:
- Copy, Paste, Advanced (Export, Behaviour, Item Access Rights, Component Access Rights, Customize), Reports, Charts, Linked Files

Note: View/Compare Merge option is always available, regardless of the 'Show Advanced Menu' setting
