Problem:

Why do I get "Journal file is corrupt (wrong GUID)" in StarTeam Server logs?

  • Product Component: Server / MPX Cache Agent
  • Platform/OS Version: All


This occurs when the CacheJournal.dat file has become corrupt or if you have moved your StarTeam configuration from one machine to another. This can also occur if this file is overwritten with another .dat file.

To resolve this issue, please try deleting the CacheJournal.dat file and restart your StarTeam Server. This will create the required .dat file again.
