Is it possible to promote the entire change history from the child view into the parent view?

Answer/Solution:
The only time the entire history promoted from the child view to the parent view is if the file is new in target. Otherwise, if the file is in both views, only the tip revision will be in the parent (target) view regardless of how many changes were made to the file in the child (source) view.
