Problem:

Unable to start configuration after upgrading to StarTeam 12.0 from StarTeam 2009.

Resolution:

StarTeam 12.0 does not a use a standard ODBC database connection.  The connection string is now managed within the Database Connection Information tab of the StarTeam configuration properties.

1.  Click "Yes"

2.  If the configurations fails to start edit the information manually on the Database Connection Information tab

3.  If this issue persists or the Database Connection Information tab is unavailable edit the starteam-server-config.xml file

4.  Set the value to 0 so that the configuration file realises it needs to look at the Database Connection Information tab for connection information.
