Problem:

Why do I get Invalid column name "F92". The cursor was not declared after adding a custom field?

Resolution:

• Product Name: StarTeam
• Product Version: 2005 - 2006
• Product Component: StarTeam Server
• Platform/OS Version: All supported Windows Operating Systems

Question:

After I add a custom field I receive the following error:

Invalid column name "F92".
The cursor was not declared.

Answer:

This error indicates that the StarTeam Server was not locked nor were the users logged off prior to adding a custom field.

When you customize the database, the StarTeam server should be brought up on another port and used only by the user who is creating custom fields. Please notice the verbiage on the dialog box when?creating a cusotm field:

"When adding a custom field, other users should be either logged off or locked out"

If you receive this error message restart the StarTeam Server.
