How do I find the View Member ID of a component in StarTeam?

Answer:

In order to do this you need to following the steps below:

• Open the StarTeam Cross Platform Client.
• Choose Tools | Personal options.
• Click on the Task tab
• Check the "Generate ID based url"s" checkbox (if not checked already)
• Click OK
• Go to the Tasks you want to work on and right-click
• Choose the option "copy URL to clipboard"
• Paste the URL to notepad
• You will see a URL with "ns=" in it. The VMID precedes this "ns=" in the URL.
