Problem:

When attaching a file to CR, why does StarTeam client throws error "Data too large for field Property Name = AttachmentIDs"

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2005, 2005 R2 & 2006
  • Product Component: StarTeam client
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows XP

Description:
When attaching a file to CR, why does StarTeam client throws error "Data too large for field Property Name = AttachmentIDs"

Answer/Solution:

A CR in StarTeam can have only 63 attachments. If you try to attach files beyond this limit, StarTeam client throws above exception.
