Problem:

ERROR: StarTeam Elite-Unhandled Error when launching APE"s

Resolution:

Problem

When launching StarTeam custom alternate property editors from a StarTeam client, (i.e. opening or creating new change requests) user gets the below error. This error usually defined an invalid path containing two references to the C:/ drive.

Workaround

The problem is related to the PATH environment variable of the machine getting this error. The fix is to either:

1. Insert the path of the StarGate SDK, "Lib" directory to the PATH environment variable if it doesn"t already exist like such:

PATH = C:Program FilesStarbaseStarGate SDKLib;

2. If the path to the StarGate SDK, "Lib" directory is already defined in the PATH environment variable, then the problem may be because the PATH list may be too long. The fix is to move the StarGate SDK path to the beginning of the list.

On either fix, you will need to reboot your machine after modifying the PATH environment variable.
