Why do I get the error "log4j:ERROR Could not read configuration file [C:/Program Files/Borland/StarTeam Import Export Manager/export.log.properties]" when running an export in Import/Export Manager?

Answer:

This is indicates that the path specified in the .CDL file that references the export.log.properties file is incorrect. To resolve this edit the .CDL file you are using and locate the LOG_PROPERTIES parameter. The value of this parameter should be a path that specifies the location of the export.log.properties file. Please note that any subfolders should be separated by a double backslash as shown in the path below.

LOG_PROPERTIES=C:\\Program Files\\Borland\\StarTeam Import Export Manager\\export.log.properties

Note that this error can also occur during import if the path to the import.log.properties file is wrong or does not have double slashes.
