Problem:

Unable to Check In Files

Resolution:

    Description:
    After rolling back to a labeled configuration or timed configuration, files cannot be checked in.

    The following error is displayed on the StarTeam Client.


    Answer/Solution:
    Rolling back a file in the root view makes it read-only. Although the file can be edited, StarTeam Server will not allow it to be checked in.

    To ensure the file can be checked in, its behaviour has to be modified via Advanced-->Behavior-->Configuration.
    Set the configuration to "Floating".

    Rolling back a file in a child view makes it read-only if it cannot branch.

    The file can be checked in if it is set to "Branch on change" via Advanced-->Behavior-->Modify.
