How can I find out where my Vault is located on my StarTeam Server?


Answer:

Your vault is the location in which revisions of the files under version control are stored Also known as the Repository - Location in which the hive, attachment folder, Log files, etc. are stored(associated with a specific server configuration)

NativeI:

If you have not yet converted over to Native-II Vault
Go into the "Server Administration"=> Tools=>Administration=> Configure Server
Select the Native-I Vault tab
This dialogue box will show you the Vault, Disk Cache and Archive paths.

NativeII:

Stop the server
Go into the "Server Administration"=> Tools=>Administration=> Hive Manager
Select the hive name=> properties
This dialogue box will show you the path to the Archives and Cache which are housed in your repository

Using the log:

You can locate your repository path by opening up the XML file
Found at "C:\Program Files\Borland\StarTeam Server 2005 R2\starteam-server-configs.xml" in notepad
Locate the line that states
