Problem:

StarTeam Web Edition Error - There is no project with ID = <number> on StarTeam server

Description:

When opening a project with Web Edition 2008, the error appears "There is no project with ID = on StarTeam server" and the project will not open.

Answer/Solution:

Using IE6 or IE7, simply clear your browser cache of cookies and temporary internet files and that should resolve the problem. Web Edition uses a lot of temporary files to optimize its performance and sometimes the data on the server changes and does not match that found in the cache for Web Edition. Deleting it forces Web Edition to refresh this data.
