Problem:

How can I show only items with a specific View or Revision Label?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: All
  • Product Component: Client
  • Platform/OS Version: All

To show only items that are assigned to a specific View or Revision Label you can do the following;

  1. Select the required tab (e.g. File), and choose "All descendants"
  2. From the menu choose "FILE | SELECT | BY LABEL", and choose the Revision or View label required from the list. All files with this label are highlighted.
  3. With the files still highlighted, select "FILE | FLAG"
  4. Change the Query drop-down to the standard installed query "" - this will now show only those files previously highlighted (no other files are visible) - that is, only the files with the selected label as displayed.
  5. At this stage you can do whatever you want to files, such as report, check-out etc.
  6. Once ready to return to the complete list of items - select all items again, and select "FILE | REMOVE FLAG", then restore the query drop-down to the previous query.

The above example assumes you are viewing the "File" tab. All other tabs have similar menu options, select the appropriate menu item depending on which tab you are viewing.
