I installed AutoAlert on my machine and any incoming, new e-mail that is not

Problem:

I installed AutoAlert on my machine and any incoming, new e-mail that is not TrackRecord specific gets deleted. Why?

Resolution:

AutoAlert is a TrackRecord component that provides e-mail notification to TrackRecord users. Typically, you install and run AutoAlert on one machine, which must have a MAPI-compliant e-mail client. Recipients of AutoAlert mail do not need to install AutoAlert, nor do they need a MAPI-compliant mail system.

Caution: Compuware recommends that you do not have a personal e-mail account set up on the machine where AutoAlert is installed. If you do, your personal e-mail messages may be deleted. AutoAlert is designed to both send messages to and receive messages from certain Compuware products, and it automatically uses the e-mail client's default e-mail account to receive messages. Thus, Auto Alert will delete any incoming e-mail that is not recognized as valid TrackRecord information.
