This issue is related to the version of the ODBC driver used by the configuration, which in turn is used during the Database upgrade procedure. The ODBC driver used can be found in line 3 of the latest "DBUpgrade.log", for example:
2011-09-12 10:15:44 DSN: Starteam-DSN, ODBC driver version: SQL Server 06.01.7600
The ODBC Driver version listed above is known to cause problems during the DB Upgrade procedure.
To resolve this issue:
1. Navigate to the ODBC Connection Manager under "Administrative Tools" 2. Rename the ODBC Connection which the StarTeam Configuration is currently using (for backup purposes) 3. Create a new ODBC Connection using one of the supported ODBC Driver versions listed below 4. Ensure that the StarTeam DB is selected 5. Start the DB Upgrade procedure again using the StarTeam Administration Console
Supported ODBC Drivers:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 with SQL Native Client 2005 9.00.4035 Microsoft SQL Server 2008 with SQL Native Client 2005 9.00.4035 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP3 with SQL Native Client 2005 9.00.4035 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express SP3 with SQL Native Client 2005 9.00.4035 Oracle Database 10g Release 2 version 10.2.0.4 with ODBC driver 10.02.00.04 Oracle Database 11g version 188.8.131.52 with ODBC driver 11.01.00.06 (with client patch 14)
