Why do I get the error "operation failed" when attempting to check-in or add files from a particular networked machine?
Question:
Why do I get the error "operation failed" when attempting to check-in or add files from a particular networked machine?
Answer:
This error can occur if the machines were mapped with only read-only permissions, such as the mapped network drive which the user tried to add files from, was mapped to the other computer with read-only permissions.
To resolve this error please ensure that full control is set on the shared location.
