Why do I get the error, "A problem was encountered loading the StarTeam Web Edition Enterprise Advantage "StarFileHandlers" applet"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2005 - 2006
  • Product Component: Web Edition
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows


To resolve this error:

  1. In Windows go to START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL
  2. Double click on "Java Plug-in 1.3.1_03" (may be another version of Java).
  3. On the "Java Plug-in Control Panel" window go to the Browser tab
  4. Uncheck "Microsoft Internet Explorer". This setting will enable IE to use MS Java instead of Sun"s Java.
  5. Click on Apply and close out of Internet Explorer
  6. Restart IE again.
