Problem:

How do I add a new item into the action button (the workflow)?

Resolution:

The procedure below uses ACTION and STATUS to demonstrate adding a new item to the action button (your workflow).


  1. Create an action called ACTION and a status called STATUS.
  2. Create a workflow rule, where ACTION-->STATUS in the item browser. This is also where you can create the new action and status items.
  3. In the status item in the browser, assign the workflow rule to the applicable groups.

The new item has been added into the workflow; therefore, it has been added into the action button. If you are logged in as Admin, the new item will not appear. To see the new action and status in the workflow and the action drop down box, login as a user from one of the other groups that the workflow rule has been assigned.
