Why do I get the following in my StarTeam Server log "Msg = ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel"?
This error indicates that the connection between the StarTeam
Server and the Oracle database was lost.
It usually occurs due to network problems or if the Oracle instance
is no longer running. If the error is continually occurring and a
connection cannot be restored then open the Oracle client on the
StarTeam Server machine and try to connect to the Oracle
instance.
If this fails try to perform the same procedure on the Oracle
machine itself. If it fails again then the Oracle instance has
experienced problems and may need restarted however if it works
then investigate the network connection between StarTeam Server and
Oracle.
