Problem:

Notification Agent will not install as a service.

• Product Version: 2006, 2006 R2

• Platform/OS Version: All Windows Platforms

Description:
I installed StarTeam Notification Agent 2006 and am trying to configure the batch file in Java Service so that the agent runs as a service. However, the StarTeam90.jar file that it is looking for inside Notification Agent install directory is not there.

Answer/Solution:

This occurred in some builds of StarTeam 2006 Extensions because the StarTeam90.jar file was being installed in the incorrect location. This has been corrected in later builds, but if it is occuring on your system then you can either copy and paste the starteam90.jar in the Notification Agent folder or just change the batch file to point to the SDK/Lib folder.
