Problem:

We accidently deleted a Quality Center bug that was syncing with a specific StarTeam Change Request. Currently, StarTeam is still showing the deleted Quality Center bug as an external bug. How can I clear that reference so that StarTeam Change Request can sync again with Quality Center creating a new bug?

Resolution:

Edit the StarTeam Change Request that corresponds to the deleted Quality Center bug, and remove the text that is in the External Reference field that indicates the number of the Quality Center bug. Completely remove all text in that field.
