Resolution:

This error is usually due to a mismatch between the client versions accessing the StarTeam project.

If users are checking in and out files using the StarTeam 2006 client and then another set of users are checking in and out the same files using a 2008 client or greater, a disconnect can occur and the updated properties and modified time information cannot be read by the latter client. As a result the error occurs when attempting to check in a file or edit a file.

To resolve, review the client versions being used to access the StarTeam project. Micro Focus recommends that StarTeam Server and Clients are on the same major version. To get the latest CPC and Server versions please visit the Micro Focus Support Site.
