    Question:

    When running the Test Director Synchronizer why does the synchronization fail and report the following in the mtdsync.log "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist"?


    Answer:

    This will happen if the username and password being used to access the Oracle database that stores the Test Director/Quality Center repository does have adequate rights. Even if you are using an Oracle login with dba privileges you may still get this error. You should specify the user that was created by Test Director when the database instance was created. This user will have the same name as the instance, i.e. Default_MyProject_db. The default 6 character password for the database instance can be found in the BugSync.ini file.
