Why does the error message "InstallShield has detected a server (or client) installation and cannot continue" appear when installing TrackRecord?
This error typically occurs when you are going from a server to a client install and Add/Remove Programs has been used to uninstall TrackRecord. The problem occurs because the registry settings in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE still exist. The solution is to go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Compuware\TrackRecord and delete the entire TrackRecord key. This key will be rewritten upon the next install of TrackRecord.
