Creating a child view based on a subset of the files in the current view
If you want to create a child view but do not want to include all of the files in the current view, you will need to label the files that you want to be in the child view and make sure that the files that you do not want are not labeled. A view cannot be created based on a revision label, so it is necessary to use a view label to do this. Create a new view label (which will automatically be attached to the tip revision of every file in the view), select the files that you do not want in the child view, and detach the label from those files. If there are more files that you do not want in the child view than files that you do want, detach the label from all of the files after you create it and then selectively reattach the label to the files that you do want. Then create your child view based on the label.
