Why do I get a "Class not registered" error when trying to start the StarTeam Cross Platform Client?

This error is caused by a required StarTeam DLL becoming unregistered in Windows.

Class not registered



The cause for this is unknown, but is most likely due to an invalid or incomplete installation of the StarTeam Cross-Platform Client, or other StarTeam component.

To resolve this error, perform the following steps;

  1. Open a command prompt window
  2. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Borland\Java"
  3. Enter "regsvr32 StSDKLoader.dll"

If this successfully re-registers the required dll, you should now be able to open the StarTeam CPC.
