What causes the eror, "Invalid Object CFIELDS" when upgrading the StarTeam database?
One reason is that the owner of the StarTeam tables in the
database is not the default dbo. This can occur when a non-standard
installation was performed previously or if the owner of the tables
was changed by someone.
For normal functionality StarTeam does not check who owns the table but when a pure database transaction is required (such as upgrading the database), it needs the owner to be dbo or it does not recognise the table, and the SQL command will fail.
To resolve this issue you need to change the owner of each of the StarTeam tables back to dbo. This can be done by a DBA but a full database backup is required beforehand. If you have any questions on back-up or changing the table owner please contact Borland Support.
