Problem:

What causes the error, "Internal StarTeam Server Error: insert into #t1 Select F0, 0, from S31 where F0 in (........) and f8=0 : Column name "ID" does not exist in target table or view"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2008 R2
  • Product Component: Database
  • Platform/OS Version: All

This error is usually displayed when clicking on a folder or component tab in the StarTeam Client for the first time after an upgrade even though the upgrade completes without error and the server starts without error.

The reason for this error is not yet known. Backups of affected StarTeam configurations have been restored and analysed by Borland, but no data corruption has ever been found nor has the error occurred during Borland"s testing. It is suspected that this error is due to a corrupted or mis-configured installation of SQL Server 2005.

To resolve this error reinstall SQL Server 2005 or try restoring the database to a different machine with SQL Server 2005 installed. If the issue still persists after this then please contact Borland Support.
