  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: All
  • Product Component: VCM
  • Platform/OS Version: N/A


Yes. Using the VCM application in StarTeam 2006 and later versions you can promote single files. To do this

  1. Select the file that needs promoted to the parent view
  2. Right-click the file
  3. Select "ADVANCED | VIEW/COMPARE Merge
  4. Check "Only Selected files"
  5. Follow the rest of the steps in the wizard
