Deleting multiple defects at the same time

Problem:

I want to delete many, but not all, of my defects (e.g. the defects from last year). I want to keep other defects (e.g. the defects from this year). How do I do this without deleting thousands of defects one by one?

Resolution:

Create an outline report that displays defects where the date entered is the date range that you want:


  1. Hold CTRL Shift keys
  2. Right-click on the first item under the header.
  3. Select Delete defect and rest of set. This deletes all of the items in the outline report, and removes them from the database.
