How can I resolve the warning "Foreign format not supported on the server" when attempting to migrate from PVCS to StarTeam?

• Product Component: PVCS Migration
• Platform/OS Version: Windows

Please ensure that you take a copy of the registry setting before making any changes.

In order to resolve the warning "Foreign format not supported on the server", please follow the steps below:

1. Open the registry (START | RUN | REGEDIT)
2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHNE | SOFTWARE | PVCS | INTERFACES | SCC
3. Double click on the DefaultProjectDB
4. Remove any question marks from the value data.
   Value Data:" PVCS Version Manager C:\Program Files\PVCS\VM\vmdevint "
   

Once the above steps have been completed you should be able to convert the PVCS archive.
