What is the reason for an ‘Access Right’ error when trying to open a change request using same user on a different machine?


Answer/Solution:
StarTeam will implicitly checks out number of files when loading the custom form for the first time. If you launch the custom form successfully without the access right to checkout files from the StarFlow Project, it could be possible that you were granted the access right when you launched the CR form for the first time. Once you have launched the form for the first time, you will continue to launch the form even if the administrator denied you the ‘checkout access right’. The error will only be apparent if you go to a different computer and try to launch the form for the first time. In this situation, the StarTeam admin can grant you checkout access right or can remove all users from the access right list in the StarFlow Project. Therefore, among others, you will need to have the checkout access right in order to launch the custom form.
