Problem:

Getting error "Msg = Permission denied" during Native-I to Native-II conversion.

Description:

Getting error "Msg = Permission denied" in GoNativeII.en-US.Log file during conversion from Native-I to Native-II vault.

An example of the error message seen in the GoNativeII.en-US.Log file is as below.

Answer/Solution:

This could be caused by any OS related issue and the best way to get around it would be to manually convert the archive file.

To manually convert the archive file, log into the server from the StarTeam client and right click on the file in question, go to Advanced and then "Convert Archive".

If all other archive files are converted, then change the entries VaultConversionMode to -1 and VaultConversion to 0 in the starteam-server-configs.xml which indicates to the server that the conversion completed successfully.
