Problem:

Why Do I get the error "Report templates for non-grouped items are missing" when attempting to report on selected items?

Resolution:

• Product Name: StarTeam

• Product Component: Client
• Platform/OS Version: All

This error is caused by attempting to run a report that requires the list of items to be "grouped" first.
Certain reports are designed only to report on grouped & sorted item lists.

To avoid this warning, and to "group" the item list to run this report, please do the following:

1. Right-click the title bar above the list of items, and choose "Sort and Group"
2. Select at least one "sort" field e.g. "Status"
3. Make sure that the "Group By" check-box is selected
4. Add up to a further 4 four fields to sort by (if required) - you do not need to have these fields "grouped" but you may prefer to do this.
5. Select "OK", and you will now see the list of items are now "grouped" by the fields specified
6. Right-click a grouped set of items, and run the "Grouping Summary" report.

This will now run successfully without the above warning.
