What causes the error "The item you have attempted to edit is not editable by you" when using a custom form?
This error occurs if the user who is using the custom form is not on the Authorized List for a particular step in the custom workflow. For example, if a user is attempting to create a new Change Request but is not added to the Authorized List for the "New" step then they will not be able to even launch the Change Request form since the first step would be the "New" step. They will instead be presented with this error. In order to resolve this:
