Description:
View Manager error when comparing view with "/" or "\" in its name. Screen shot of error is attached.



Answer/Solution:
This is a defect in the 2005 R2 View Manager. Change Request # 41144 was entered for this issue. The problem does not exist in the 2006 client because the View Manager does not exist in versions newer than 2005 R2. Therefore, the workaround is to upgrade to the 2006 cross-platform client and use the 2006 View Compare/Merge tool.
