Problem:

Why do I get "Data source name not found and no default driver specified" when running Vault Verify?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2006
  • Product Component: vault verify
  • Platform/OS Version: N/A

This can be caused by either;

1. Running the Vault Verify from the incorrect location

Ensure that you are running the Vault Verify command from the StarTeam 2006 Vault Verify installation directory and re-run the command without the "-path" directive. For example,

VaultVerify -check all -t -verbose

or

VaultVerify -check all -dbhost -dbpassword -dbport -dbuser -t -verbose

2. Using the "-path" parameter incorrectly

If you must use the "-path" option, please ensure that it pointing to the exact location of your configuration, and that you are not already running the Vault Verify command from this directory.
