Problem:

How can I configure StarTeam DataMart to extract to a newly created database?

• Product Name: StarTeam
• Product Version: 2008/2006
• Product Component: DataMart
• Platform/OS Version: All

It is possible to configure StarTeam Datamart to extract to a newly created database using one of the following options:

Option 1

1. Create a new Database (SQL or Oracle)
   
2. Open the StarTeam DataMart Extractor
3. Edit the specific Property file
4. Select the Database Tab
5. Configure the new Database information (Server | Database | Username |Password)
6. Rerun the extraction.

Option 2

1. Any tables that were created as part of the extraction will have "ST_" prefixed to the table name
2. Make a backup/copy of these tables
3. Create a new database (SQL or Oracle)
4. Export the "ST_" tables to the new database.
