Launching the Cross Platform Client from a command prompt

As an alternative to executing the StarTeamCP.stjava{64} file, one can launch the Cross Platform Client directly from a .bat file on Windows.

Place the following command inside a .bat file and save it. (Change 15 to 16 for that platform version).

Then execute (launch, double click) the bat file.. This will launch the CPC directly.

"C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Java\Oracle1.8.0_102\bin\javaw.exe" -classpath "C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam Cross-Platform Client 15;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam SDK 15.0\lib\starteam160.jar;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam SDK 15.0\lib\starteam110.bridgeTo.starteam150.jar;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam Cross-Platform Client 15\starteam-gui.jar;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Java\Oracle1.8.0_102\lib\jfxrt.jar;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam SDK 15.0\bin\." -Djava.library.path="C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam Cross-Platform Client 15;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam SDK 15.0\bin;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\StarTeam SDK 15.0\lib;C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Java" -Xmx2048m -Donwin32=y com.starbase.starteam.gui.Main
