Descriptive Programming (DP) allow you to perform operations on object that are not stored in the object repository.
It can be used as a workaround on scenarios where objects change dynamically, or the objects properties want/need to be provide from the DataTable (data-drive). For more details and examples check the below article:
- Document KM171393 - How to work with controls without learning them into the Object Repository
- Document KM191247 - How to data-drive descriptive programming statements
- Document KM198955 - What is better: shared object repositories or descriptive programming?
There is also more documentation on the HP UFT Users Guide, page 990 (UFT 11.53):
Hope this helps.
