Can anyone from the community help with this?

Which version of UFT are you using? Maybe you can try the UFT15.02 in case you are using an old version.

I know this question is quite old but it is all I can find regarding this problem.  I also have this problem but only with one of my scripts.  It takes 20 minutes to be useable and it states "Version Control Working" during that time.  The script runs fast enough once i am actually able to start it.  Has anyone got any Ideas?  I have tried using descriptive programming in some place and deleted objects to try and speed it up but to no avail.

Hi Roy, following has been working for me (90% of the times) to improve performance:

Ensure no test results are saved in the test parent folder and it should have a significant impact, when you reopen the version controlled test in UFT.

Didn't receive any other information from elsewhere, so tried a few things at my end and above is what resolved this concern to some extent.

Thanks for the response.  I do not have any test results in any of the folders.  Since I started using UFT, I have been sending test results to a separate folder on the C drive.  One thing that I have found is that if I delete my test code locally and then pull from master, source control is quick for a short time, but then it goes back to being very slow.

I suspect there is a simple answer somewhere but it is clearly elusive.

Yes, I too am hopeful for an answer / fix for this. Interesting to know about the local code deletion.

Can you please try removing the test results from the C drive location as well and re-open the test?

I suspect the test result location saved for respective test in question, is being read for version control, which results in the processing becoming slow, as the test result folder keeps growing in size.

I tried that but it did not speed it up, I'm afraid.  I deleted all test results, closed UFT down and then re-opened it.  i then launched the test and it took 17 minutes to be usable.

I checked the test results folder after launch and there is still nothing in there.

Hi again, Hunar,

I accidentally misled you with my other answer. i thought that I had removed all test results and then this morning i found that there were 146 sets of result there.  I removed them, closed UFT, opened it again and it was ready to go in under a minute.
