Problem:

Error message in CaliberRDM browser window "A system error occurred. Please contact your system administrator." Also, receiving the error message "Got SQL exception, please check the database and the connection" in the stdout_*.log. 

Resolution:

1. Open SQL Server Configuration Manager
2. Click on "SQL Server Services" node in the tree
3. Check the status of "SQL Server (CALIBERRDM)"  in the right hand pane
4. If it is stopped or paused, start it up
5. Check the status of "SQL Server Browser" in the right hand pane
6. If it is stopped or paused, start it up
7. Restart CaliberRDM Server
8. Bring up the CaliberRDM Client via the web browser
