Problem:

Users receive the error message "Quality center add in is not available" when trying to view published traces in the CaliberRM Client.

Resolution:

This can occur when a dll file that is required for the integration is not registered correctly in the x64 operating system. To register this dll manually please do the following:

1.  Click on start and enter cmd in the search window

2.  Right click on cmd.exe and click "Run as administrator"

3.  Once the cmd window opens enter the command:

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files (x86)\Borland\CaliberRM\Traceability Addins\QCIntegrationAddin.dll"

4.  This should unregister the dll

5.  In the same command prompt window re-register the dll by entering:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Borland\CaliberRM\Traceability Addins\QCIntegrationAddin.dll"

6.  Now open the CaliberRM client and attempt to view the traces
