Problem:

When trying to map a requirement to another requirement as illustrated by the screenshot below:



This error message "The current project does not allow mapped requirement" is returned:

Resolution:

This error is typically returned when you try to map a requirement in the current project without enabling the project's setting "Requirements in this project can be mapped to shared requirements".

To allow mapping of requirements within a single project, the project should have both sharing and mapping of requirements enabled. Specifically, please ensure that both checkboxes under ‘Shared Requirements’ in the Project Info tab are selected as shown in the screenshot below:



If the "Requirements in this project can be shared" checkbox is not checked for the project containing the requirement to be shared, the error message returned is "The project you are attempting to map to does not have it's requirement shared.".
