Pasting a table from Word into the requirement description exceeds the 100000 character limit of the underlying HTML. Can this be avoided?
When you copy a table from Word and try to paste it into
the requirement description field of CaliberRM, you may receive a
message "The underlying html is limited to 100000
characters. You are xxxx characters over the
This limitation is being reached because tables in Word require
additional characters in order to be represented by HTML, the
underlying HTML of these tables is causing the characters to exceed
the 100000 character limitation in CaliberRM.
A workaround for this limitation, is to copy the table from Word
and paste it into Wordpad. Then copy the table from Wordpad
and paste it into the requirement description of CaliberRM.
When you paste the table into Wordpad, the underlying HTML is
dramatically reduced. This may allow you to copy
the table and paste it into CaliberRM without exceeding the
If the table is still too large after you paste it
into Wordpad then you may have to split the table into smaller
tables and divide it amongst a set of requirements. You might
still find this technique beneficial in helping you reduce the
number of smaller tables that are necessary to represent
the original one.

be slightly changed if you copy it from Word and paste it
