Borland Search won"t start or you need to change the default port to be other than port 80
If you have an application, such as IIS or Apache, already
running on port 80 then Borland Search won"t start. This
is because Borland Search tries to use port 80 by
default. You can change the port that Borland Search
uses by performing the following steps.
First, stop Borland Search if it is running. Then go to
the following directory: C:\Program Files\Borland\Borland
Search\conf. You may need to adjust this path according to
where you installed Borland Search.
Open the file server.xml with notepad and search for the

use. When you start Borland Search again, it will use this
port. This will resolve any conflict that you may have had
with another web server already running on port 80.
Please note that you will need to alter the URL that you use to
access Borland Search to include the port that you selected.
For instance, if you selected port 8080 then the URL would
look like the following:
