Setting up CaliberRM email notifications
This set-up requires that your organization uses a Simple Mail
Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service.
In Framework Administrator,
Place a checkmark Enable check
Host: The name of your company?s
Port: 25 (default) you may have
to check with your mail administrator
Sender Address: Any valid email address. Some of our customers
set up an address like firstname.lastname@example.org.
This email address is displayed in the "From" field on
all automatic emails sent and any replies to the automatic emails.
Or you could put your email address in, and then you would receive
NOTE: Some of our Customers do not set Notification parameters
(steps below) until the project has been set up completely so that
Users are not flooded with a ton of emails during the initial
stages of the project. Of course, this is your option.
Start by going to View/Users, highlight the User, and select the
User Info tab. Fill in the user?s e-mail address. Select the Group
Member tab and verify the group the user is assigned to is added to
the Member of column. SAVE
Next go to View/Groups, highlight the Group, select the Members
tab and verify the user is added to the Members column.
Then go to View/Projects, highlight the Project, select the
Group Assignment tab and verify the group the user is in is
checked. Highlight the user"s group, click on the
Advanced button and then click on the Notifications button. Select
which requirement changes you would like to be notified of.
From Caliber, go to the Project, double click on a requirement
type, select a requirement and click on the Responsibilities tab.
Select Group/Member or Member/Group and place a check mark in the
box next to the user to be notified of any changes made to that
requirement. This will have to be done for each requirement, along
with each Child of that requirement. SAVE
